Prior to any teeth whitening treatment in-chair or using a take home kit we recommend a check-up and clean to make sure your teeth and gums are healthy. Your dentist will check for problems such as cavities, decay or staining which may cause issues with whitening such as sensitivity. After the check up, your dentist will proceed with a clean to remove plaque or calculus build up which may reduce the effectiveness your whitening treatment.

We recommend allowing plenty of time before your wedding day.  Every patient is different, therefore treatments and treatment times can vary greatly from person to person. Treatments such as in-chair teeth whitening provide immediate results whereas advanced treatments such as cosmetic aligners usually take less than a year but could take anywhere from six to eighteen months. Your dentist will work with you to find the best solution.

This can vary greatly depending on your individual oral habits, such as what you eat and drink or if you smoke. Patients usually see results last for at least 6 to 12 months. It’s recommended that teeth whitening is performed once every 12 to 18 months for best results.
